Photographs of my pet portraits do not show the texture of the painting, I have used Hahnemuhle velour paper for several years, and like to think that, when you look at the real thing, you feel you could reach out and stroke the hair/fur of the animal I have painted. This is an effect you do not achieve with standard pastel paper.
